At the appointment your teeth will be given a professional scale and polish. The hygienist will carefully clear away any plaque or tartar from the hard to reach areas along the gumline and between your teeth. The polishing will remove surface staining to leave your teeth shiny and clean. If any potential issues are noticed during the appointment then you will be referred to your dentist. As well as visits to the practice, it is also important to look after your teeth and gums every day. Our experienced hygienist will advise you on how to clean your teeth and maintain good oral health at home, including brushing, flossing and the use of interdental brushes. |
